Tessie Miller wanted to do what her parents say, but she also had to follow her heart. She and Marcus King were in love and wanted to marry. But her Father was very opposed to the match and would not allow it. Even though Tessie and Marcus had no idea why. So with little choice they eloped to the English world and got married. Then they returned home to live as singles for a little while, not telling anyone what they did until they could try to get her parents to give there love a chance. But when something awful happens, Tessie could be in for more trouble then she ever would have guessed.
Beverly Lewis is one of my favorite authors, and I was so excited to get this book! The characters and the scenes were very well done. And it was a hard book to put down! Plus I really like how even if you have not read the other books in this series, this book can be read all by it's self! Although one secret in the book was kept so long it was getting kind of annoying. But for the book to go the way it did I don't think that anything could have really been changed. Over all I would say it is a great book and a must read for Beverly Lewis fans!
