Shannon Bliss was abducted years ago, and was forced into a life of
crime by those who took her. But now that she has escaped by faking her
own death she is trying to put her life back together. Which may be a
hard thing to do with all the media
attention around her brother who is running for governor, and with the
kidnappers still on the lose. Once the kidnapers find out she is still
alive they will want to silence her. Can Shannon unlock the secrets of
her
kidnapping and regain the true freedom she needs?
I was really disappointed that I was not able to enjoy this book much. It was very well written and had good characters. But sadly the plot seemed kind of slow for me. I knew ahead of time that the story was going to begin after she was already free, but the story was mostly just like watching recovery in real time. There were a few interesting things in the book. But it was not something I looked forward to finishing. I thought more would have happened in the story and that it would have had a faster story flow.
I received this book free from Bethany House Publishers for my honest review. The opinions are my own.
