In Birmingham Alabama all the power went out. But it's not like when you normally lose power... This time cars will not start, cell phones are dead, and even radios and tv do not work. Which left many people trying to find a way home when all the cars on the roads stopped. But no one seems to know why it all happened. It just all stopped working.
And now everyone has to work together to survive. But now with food and other important things hard to get the Branning family has to decide if they should hoard their things or share them. Which can be a hard thing with their own family to care for too.
But if all that they are going though is not hard enough on it's own, they find someone in the neighborhood is a killer. And until they are found the weird loss of power my not be the worsted danger that they all have.
I have to say this book had me hooked from the beginning! I ended up hardly being able to keep my hands off the book! It was a great story and I would love to read the others in this series. It was very well done and was a exciting story! It was really interesting to see how everyone learned to survive, and what everyone done when times got hard.

I received this book free from the publisher, Zondervan, through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. The opinions are my own.
