My website that goes along with this blog has just finished the update and makeover it was getting! So it is now up and running at

There are a lot of fun fiber art related things currently on it. Like a list of available classes, free online tutorials, and lots of info on different fibers. I plan to add more things as well, so be sure to check it out.
With spring comes the perfect time to take a drive through the country. Where tree covered roads are once again becoming a green canopy, and wildflowers cover the roadsides. We recently went on that kind of drive, and we even stopped at a roadside entrance to a beautiful large creek that went under the road.
It was a lovely day, and to make it even more enjoyable I brought along my newest crochet project. It is a shawl I am doing in white, warm rose, coffee, and plum. I am making it as part of a pattern test for Claire a WoolBarrow Designs, and it is wonderful! I love the easy to understand layout of her patterns and the unique designs.
Today the Butterflies and Shadows Doily by Annamarie Wilkerson was released! It is one of the most beautiful doily patterns I have ever seen, and I highly recommend it. I was one of the pattern testers for this beauty so I have already had the pleasure of making the doily. The pattern was nicely written, had helpful pictures, and a great layout. And the finished product it nothing short of amazing!
