Not to long ago we found a caterpillar that wanted to make a cocoon on our outdoor dog bowl. So we brought it inside and set it up in a large gallon jar. And sure enough it made a lovely cocoon and about 10 days latter hatched into a beautiful butterfly! I got this photo of it while the butterfly was still getting it wings really to fly before we released it.
