When the Foster family ran into financial trouble it forced them to find a new home. But when a strange solicitor shows up with the amazing offer of moving to Pembrooke Park it may be to good to be true. But it might be their only option. When they visit Pembrooke Park they find it very odd. The place has been closed up and abandoned for 18 years. And it was like the last people just disappeared suddenly. The dust covered rooms still had tea cups with dried up tea in the bottom, a doll house left in mid play, a book still on the sofa arm to hold the readers place. And there were rumors of a secret hidden room filled with treasure. But after they moved in Abigail Foster found she was not the only person interested in the rumors. There were noises during the night, and rooms that looked disturbed the next morning. Although few people who knew about the history of  Pembrooke Park did not want to talk about it. But the dangerous past may come back whether they want it to or not.

I was so glad to get The Secret of Pembrooke Park by Julie Klassen! I had really wanted to read it and I could not wait to get started. The characters were well done and the story had a good flow to it. It was very exciting and I could hardly put it down. This book had a amazing mystery in it! Although it got to one point in the book were I thought the mystery was going to fall apart, but really it was just changing directions to a shocking surprise! It was a great story and I look forward to the next book from Julie Klassen!

I received this book free from Bethany House for my honest review. The opinions are my own.
