This year I decided to try entering some of my hand spun alpaca yarn and other projects at the county fair. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed see everything else that was entered in the fair. Below is a picture of the yarn I entered. If you have ever thought of entering your yarn in a fair or fiber festival I highly recommend the current summer 2017 issue of Spin Off magazine. They have a wonderful article about skein competitions in it. Including great tips on how to prepare your yarn for the show, and what to expect once you are there. I really enjoyed reading it, and it helped inspire me to try entering my own yarn.
