What does trouble, accidents, and some disasters have in common? That answer would be Agatha Watson, a talented writer who works for the New York Tribune. But one thing she would never have guessed was that she would run into Zayne Beckett on her travels out west looking for news stories.

She had not seen him in two years since he left New York to marry his almost fiancee, Helena. And by this point he was a mess. Agatha decided she must help him and get him back east to his family, although with Zayne not wanting any help it may be harder then she thought. But with Agatha things never stay still for long and something comes up where Zayne may have to come back east, at least for awhile.

As Zayne finds out how many enemies Agatha has made with her nose for news he begins to think she is the one needing his help. Although it may not work out just like he planned.
When I started this book I was not sure if I would really like it, but I ended up really enjoying it! It has some really funny stuff in it, along with very exciting parts and some big surprises! I love how the book takes place in the 1880's and the characters were very well done. And even though Agatha has a way of always finding herself in trouble of some kind she handles it well and it was enjoyable to read. Jen Turano did a really great job with the book and I definitely recommend it!
I received this book free from Bethany House for my honest review. The opinions are my own.

  1. I always get a kick out of the names that authors pick for their lead characters in books. "Zayne Beckett" sounds so dashing :) We once had a new employee start where I work that was named "Logan King" and I told him that made me think he had stepped out of a romance novel... :)
